How to Choose the Right Attorney
Choosing the right Waco, TX personal injury attorney to represent you in an accident case may be the most important decision that you ever make.
Importance of Qualifications
Just like you would never choose a surgeon based upon a television jingle or a yellow page advertisement, you should never choose your attorney without finding out about the attorney’s qualifications, specializations and results they have obtained in other cases.
Brown Trial Firm, PLLC is an experienced trial law firm devoted to representing children who have suffered birth injuries and their families, victims of medical negligence, and individuals in major personal injury cases, product liability and trucking accidents cases. Laura Brown is Board Certified Specialist in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Laura is adjunct professor at Baylor Law School teaching Personal Injury Trial Law to the law school students.
What is Board Certification?
Many people are not familiar with what it means to be Board Certified. In Texas, Board Certification is controlled by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. To even apply for board certification in personal injury trial law, the attorney must have tried a certain number of cases and must have been the lead counsel in a required number.
In addition, the Texas Board of Legal Specialization will check out the attorney by contacting trial judges and opposing attorneys to get confidential evaluations of the skill, knowledge and reputation of the attorney who is applying. If the attorney receives positive recommendations from judges and colleagues, then the attorney is given permission to take a difficult written test. If the attorney passes that test, then he or she becomes Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law. The attorney must continue to participate in continuing legal education to remain board certified.
We are very proud that Laura Brown is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law.
We believe that the playing field should be level for everyone
That is why we choose to represent people who have been seriously hurt. We accept only a small number of cases that we truly believe in. We devote our time and resources to this fight for each of our clients.
Our clients are people and families who have suffered serious injuries or death through no fault of their own. We represent our clients against trucking companies, corporations, insurance companies, and hospital systems.
We believe that the person or company responsible should be accountable for the injuries and damage that they cause. Accountability results in fairness and justice to the individuals and improves safety for everyone else in the community.
Client Satisfaction
We are also very proud of the results that we have obtained for our clients over the years. We are happy to provide you with our results so you can see for yourself.
Experience Matters
We have decades of experience in the fields of Texas personal injury law and medical malpractice law.
We know how to reach a fair settlement if that is what is best for you and how to fight the good fight if you are forced to go to trial.
